Week 4

This week I created a google account so to signup with the “blooger.com” website, after signing up I named by blog, selected a theme and got started with the blog. Did my week 3 and week 4 blog as we were a week behind because of the event that occurred last week (power cut).

After doing my blog I started the second task of LPD portfolio which was about generating ideas and listing four career options that interest me. For this I used prospectus website and the information that I received from prospectus website was very useful as one of the job that came up was banking which I think I am really interested in although the course I am doing now (ICT) is not directly related to banking. However if I feel that during the course of this degree I want to go into banking I would think of doing diploma or masters in economics so to get into that field.

Birthday

I cant believe that there are so many birthdays this month. I have already attended 4 birthdays and there is another one coming at the end of this month (Luke Spencer’s birthday). Already spend more than 200 pounds this month on food, cloths, presents so its getting a bit hard to manage time as well as money, all at the same time.

Other than that now I am starting to feel little bit off pressure of 3rd year as its been 1 month, and we already got 3 assignments and lots of other reading work to do, its hard but I am trying my best to keep everything organised and be up to date will all the work and also enjoy at the same time.

Week 3

This is my first week on this unit, i was not able to attend the first two weeks because of all the option change. Moreover I was also trying to fit myself in a routine. On the 3rd week of my LPD class i had to do the first assessment which was about skills/ aptitudes working styles, values, interests, and criteria for the ideal job which I think was pretty useful because I have never done this kind of activity before and learnt alot from it.

We were advised to create a blog from week 3 till week 11, which I think will be very interesting to read when this unit comes to an end. As this was my first week in this class I really enjoyed and hopefully will try not to miss an other class :).

Option Change (Economics)

So excited that at last I won something, I won a bet against Salman (uni mate) I had a bet with him that Jenson Button will win the F1 Worlds Driver’s Championship and he did after 21 years of racing. I won myself 25 pounds but I don’t think he will give it to me because I know what he is like, I don’t blame him I would have done the same.

Other then that the last 2 weeks of university have been a bit of headache as for my options form I choose 1 of the economics unit (finance and banking) as I am really interested to go into banking. However after having a chat with the economics tutor, I was not allowed to do that unit as I have not done anything related to economics in last 2 years of university, which was a bit disappointing.
